John Jordan

MUSIC INSTRUCTOR - VOICE, GUITAR & MUSIC COACH

John Was born and raised in Los Altos, Ca.  He played baseball with and against Mark Newton.  John was part of a music family and sang in choirs and played piano and violin in youth orchestras.  He also played sports at Los Altos High school and football at Tulane University where he received his degrees in History and Music performance.  

John has taught choir at Menlo School, voice at Santa Clara University, and currently is the guitar teacher at Menlo Atherton High School.  John started the music program at the Riekes Center in 1998, and left to form J ACE J Music, which he runs to this day.  John is currently in 3 bands: “House Party”(with some Riekes Staff), “Young Jordan” (acoustic duo), and “the Jays” (with his 2 musical sons).

John believes that music is the cure for what ails the modern world.  Music is weightlifting for the brain and helps anyone work on their memory and concentration.  John teaches: Voice, Guitar of all types, Piano and keyboards, Bass, Music Theory, Digital music, small and large groups and bands, and summer music camps.  John is also the cook of the family is into hiking and weightlifting.  Hear it, Think it, Sing it, Play it!
